I forgot to mention this when we were talking about it, but I just remembered now; the place he lived could have been part of the Roman Empire while he was still alive. I just thought that was interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jamie! Israel was indeed a country occupied by the Roman Empire. This was a significant characteristic in the lives of the people Jesus ministered to, and a source of great friction in their society. We will look at some key Bible stories that highlight this., and Jesus' approach to it.
